When you’re building or renovating, colour decisions rarely sit in isolation. Roofing, cladding, joinery, flooring, cabinetry and furnishings all influence one another — and many selections are made long before paint is applied.

Pigment’s Project Colour Direction brings clarity to those early decisions, helping establish a cohesive palette across both interior and exterior materials.

Rather than focusing on paint alone, this service considers how colour moves through the entire home — ensuring finishes feel balanced, intentional and aligned with the overall design vision.

      Secure your consultation through our online booking system, we’ll confirm a time that works for you.

       Once booked you’ll receive a short form to complete, giving us an insight into your project, style and goals. You’ll can also upload plans, inspiration imagery and any preliminary material selections.

      We’ll meet at your property, studio or virtually to walk through the plans, ideas and key design decisions.

      Together we’ll discuss the overall vision for the home and review how materials such as cladding, roofing, joinery, flooring and paint colour will work together.  

      The goal is to establish a clear colour direction across both interior and exterior spaces before final selections are locked in.

    • Expert guidance

      Your Pigment colour specialist will develop an integrated colour direction tailored to your project. Guidance may extend across paint, joinery, flooring, cladding and other finishes to ensure the palette feels balanced throughout the home.

      Independent and design-led, every recommendation is made to help ensure materials work together as a considered whole.

    Note: Pigment focuses on colour direction rather than product sourcing or procurement. Where materials have already been shortlisted, guidance can be given on which colours within that range will work best with the overall palette.

  • A collaborative, expert led session to establish the colour direction for your project, ensuring the materials feel considered across the property while reflecting the overall design intent and how you want the home to feel.

    • A detailed review of your design direction, material selections and any colour challenges you’re navigating.

    • Extended consultation (up to 2.5hrs)

    • Integrated interior and/or exterior colour direction across materials and finishes.

    • Full brushout and material sampling so you can experience the colour in situ.

    • A detailed paint specification schedule showing exactly where each colour is used.
